Judith Nwana, BEng MSc MBA MCIPS
Steering Committee Member
Judith became involved in advocacy when she joined the fight for #BringBackOurInternet during the internet shutdowns in #Cameroon. She has worked with international organizations such as accessnow and Internet Sans Frontieres in highlighting the ills of the internet shutdowns perpetrated by the Cameroon government.
Recently she has been advocating for the plight of Southern Cameroons activists who have been jailed for hundreds of days without a fair trial. Trials being held in military courts, unending adjournments and people being sentenced in abstentia.
Now she is also looking at how we can help the thousands of Refugees who have fled their homes into the forests, others making a treacherous journey across the border into Nigeria.
She says it’s time for us to help and bring much needed relief to the refugees and prisoners.
She will continue to advocate for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict so that the refugees can come back home, as well as the release of all political prisoners and advocates.
Judith is lead for Global Telecoms Contracts and vendor Management in her organization, and was recently elected as the Secretary of her organizations African Society.
She holds an MBA from London Business School, B. Eng Hon in Civil Engineering from Enugu State University in Nigeria and a MSc in Civil and Structural Engineering from the University of Sheffield in the UK.
