Taraba Outreach Report!!!
We are sincerely grateful to you now more than ever, for your continuous and immense support, responses, assistance and donations which has been tremendous, terrific and amazing. At a time when everything feels uncertain, we find solace and encouragement knowing that you care and support our cause. We cannot appreciate you enough.
To further excite you, I would like to announce the successful completion of our most recent outreach to over 300 Southern Cameroon refugees in Gembu & Sarduana Communities (Taraba State, Nigeria) which constitutes the largest and most neglected communities hosting Southern Cameroonians refugees within the state. With your support, each refugee received food item bag weighing 3.7kg which contained Garri, Rice, Beans, Indomie, Maggie, Salt, Vegetable Oil, amongst other food items. We also provided health seminars on sanitation tips, COVID-19 and HIV care and preventive measures. Pictures from the outreach can be viewed below.
I would also like to share with you, our plans for an online international symposium on the humanitarian situation of the ongoing conflict in Southern Cameroons. The event has been scheduled for June, 2021 and will be virtual via ZOOM. We aim to use this platform to evaluate the current response by the United Nations and other humanitarian organizations in addressing internally displaced populations in the Anglophone regions and across Cameroon. We will also examine the current refugee challenges in neighboring countries, review possible solutions and explore long-term outcomes. Please look out for more details in our subsequent mails.
Finally, I would like to appreciate your continuous support. We wish you, your family and loved ones good health, happiness, peace and success in all your endeavors.
