The Cameroon Humanitarian Relief Initiative (CHRI) successfully completed its second outreach for Internally Displaced Peoples (IDP’s) in Cameroon. The project was carried out by our implementing partners, the Caritas Diocese of Kumba between February and March 2019. We recorded a total of 60 cases during the outreach process, amongst whom were 13 nursing mothers, 28 pregnant women and 19 children (11 boys and 8 girls respectively). We ensured adequate transportation services to cases that required proper medical consultation to nearby Health Centers, while we also provided Mobile Health Units for cases that were less severe. CHRI took charge of the hospital bill of all referred cases and also provided healthcare and household items to the nursing mothers, pregnant women and children.
